Hi there! I'm Lisa Jeanette Stark, a dedicated dog breeder with over 25 years of experience raising top-quality puppies with love, care, and a focus on health and temperament.
My journey began with a deep and lasting love for the Boxer breed—a strong, beautiful, loyal companion that stole my heart from the start. Their playful spirit and unconditional love inspired my early breeding program. While I would still be raising Boxers today, due to health challenges, I made the difficult but necessary decision to retire from breeding such high-energy dogs. It was a heartbreaking choice, but I knew it was in the best interest of the dogs I loved so much.
In searching for a more manageable companion—a true “lap puppy”—I discovered new breeds and wonderful friendships with like-minded breeders. That’s when I fell in love all over again… this time with the sweet, loving, and adorable Yorkshire Terrier. Today, I’m a proud “Yorkie Mom” to some of the cutest Yorkie puppies you'll ever meet!
My husband Derek and I also fell in love with the charming Silky Terrier, a breed similar to the Yorkie but sturdier—perfect for families with children or active dads! We later expanded to include Toy Poodles, Miniature Poodles, Maltese, and Standard Poodles, and we also help families find specialty designer breeds upon request.
With our passion reignited and our circle of trusted, USDA and State-licensed breeders growing, ToyBox Puppies was born. Alongside it, our storefront, Puppy Essentials Pet Shop, offers all the must-haves for your new furry family member—because every pup deserves to be spoiled!
As both a USDA-compliant broker and small-scale breeder, I take pride in connecting families with healthy, well-socialized puppies raised in loving, clean environments. I only work with a select few certified local breeders who share my values and high standards.
