Care Information

Additional Care information for small breed puppies?

  • You will want to keep food and water available for the first 5 to 7 days. Even through the night. **We recommend a raised bowl to keep them from playing in their food & water bowls.

  • Our TeaCup and ToyBox size Puppies need to be offered food throughout the entire day as they have small tummies and will metabolize their food energy quickly. This can cause low blood sugar issues for our bitty babies. There is an information sheet in your puppy's paperwork to know what to watch for and first aid for low blood sugar

  • Always follow the recommended feeding directions per the manufacturer instructions on the puppy food bag. Be sure to check what the amount is with each brand and as your puppy grows the required amount will change. As every food is different and you do not want to under or over feed puppy

  •  Once puppy is acclimated to their new FURever home You can start potty training. Yay!!!

  • Make sure to keep puppy on a feeding schedule while potty training.

  • We recommend kennel training along with potty training.

  • Make sure you have an appropriately sized kennel. This is a safe place for puppy when you are not able to keep an eye on them, including when you must leave puppy home alone.
